How to search the IMPACT Knowledgebase

Last updated: 7 May 2026

What this does

Use the Knowledgebase module in impact-web to search product documentation and get AI-assisted answers based on indexed IMPACT articles.

Current access and functionality

  • Verified against the current impact-web, impact-client, and impact-marketplace code on 2026-05-07.
  • Knowledgebase is available in impact-web when the workspace has the Knowledgebase entitlement. If the entitlement is missing, the menu item is hidden.
  • The module provides a search bar and answer panel for documentation retrieval and AI-assisted responses.
  • Answers depend on the documents available in the indexed knowledgebase. If content has not been ingested or is out of date, the answer may be incomplete.
  • Access to the module does not grant admin rights in other modules. Users must still have the correct permission to perform the action described by an article.
  1. Open Knowledgebase from the web menu.
  2. Enter a specific question or keyword, such as create invoice, channel settings, or task workflow.
  3. Review the answer and any referenced articles.
  4. Use the linked article to confirm exact steps, access requirements, and related modules.
  5. If the answer describes an action you cannot perform, check your workspace role, permission, and entitlement.

Good search habits

  • Ask for the task you want to complete, not only the module name.
  • Include the touchpoint when it matters, such as impact-client leave request or impact-web scheduler.
  • Treat AI-assisted answers as guidance grounded in indexed documentation, then verify sensitive access or billing actions in the product UI.

Common issues

  • Issue: Knowledgebase is missing from the menu. Fix: Confirm the workspace has the Knowledgebase entitlement.
  • Issue: Search returns no answer. Fix: Try a shorter query or a product term used in the UI.
  • Issue: The answer describes an admin action the user cannot see. Fix: The user may not have the required role, permission, or module entitlement.
  • Issue: The answer appears stale. Fix: Ask support to verify the article and confirm the latest product behaviour.
