How to browse the IMPACT Marketplace

Last updated: 7 May 2026

What this does

Explains how marketplace browsing works today and how marketplace items connect back into IMPACT Web.

Current access and functionality

  • Verified against the current impact-web, impact-client, and impact-marketplace code on 2026-05-07.
  • impact-marketplace product listing, category browsing, merchant pages, and product detail pages are public.
  • Cart, checkout, My Space / My Templates, order history, reviews, report history, and billing preferences require login.
  • impact-web does not expose a general Marketplace sidebar item in the current menu. It opens marketplace URLs or marketplace inventory/import dialogs from feature areas such as Checklists, Projects/Playbooks, Risks, Competency, and Questionnaires.
  • Marketplace purchases create marketplace orders and inventory/template access; they do not create legacy invoices or payment-reconciliation records.

Steps

Browsing in the marketplace app

  1. Open the IMPACT Marketplace URL.
  2. Browse featured, top seller, popular, and category sections.
  3. Search by keyword and filter by category, type, industry, language, and price where available.
  4. Open a product detail page to review description, merchant, ratings, versions, similar products, and preview content.

Buying or saving a template

  1. Sign in before using cart, checkout, or My Space.
  2. Add products to cart from the product detail page.
  3. Review selected items in Cart, including merchant grouping, promotions, vouchers, and totals.
  4. Confirm checkout to create the marketplace order.
  5. Open My Space / My Templates to view available purchased templates.

Using templates from IMPACT Web

  1. In impact-web, open the feature that will receive the template: Checklists, Projects/Playbooks, Risks, Competency, or Questionnaires.
  2. Choose the import-from-marketplace or inventory action when it is available.
  3. Select the purchased marketplace item, version, language, and target workspace or project as required.
  4. Confirm import. IMPACT creates a copy in the selected workspace so it can be customised.

Common issues

  • Issue: The user cannot find Marketplace in the web sidebar. Fix: Use the marketplace app URL or the feature-specific import action in web.
  • Issue: The user can browse but cannot checkout. Fix: Checkout requires login.
  • Issue: A purchased item is not available in web import. Fix: Confirm the item is in My Space / My Templates, the user is signed in with the same account, and the item type matches the feature being imported into.
