How to use psychometric assessments
Last updated: 7 May 2026
What this does
IMPACT includes built-in psychometric assessments to help understand personality types and monitor team well-being. These assessments are implemented as specialised survey types with automatic scoring and interpretation.
Current access and functionality
- Verified against the current
impact-web,impact-client, andimpact-marketplacecode on 2026-05-07. - In
impact-web, users must be signed in and working in an active workspace. Navigation and write actions are role-, permission-, and entitlement-aware; unavailable modules are hidden or disabled instead of being universally visible. - Survey and assessment setup is web-first for admins. Respondents can answer assigned surveys in web or mobile when the campaign or instance includes them.
Available assessments
DISC Personality Assessment
- What it measures: Behavioural style across four dimensions — Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness.
- Purpose: Understand how team members communicate, make decisions, and work together. Useful for team composition, conflict resolution, and role assignment.
- Output: A DISC chart with quadrant visualisation showing the individual's profile.
DASS (Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale)
- What it measures: Three dimensions of psychological well-being — stress, anxiety, and depression.
- Purpose: Monitor team well-being and identify members who may need support. Especially important for high-pressure project environments.
- Output: Individual scores for stress, anxiety, and depression, plus the raw assessment results.
Steps
Taking an assessment (staff)
- You will be notified when an assessment is assigned to you (via the survey system or email).
- Open the assessment from your pending surveys or via the notification link.
- Answer all questions honestly — there are no right or wrong answers.
- Submit your responses.
- View your results:
- DISC: A chart showing your behavioural profile across the four quadrants.
- DASS: Your scores for stress, anxiety, and depression with severity indicators.
Assigning assessments (admin)
- Psychometric assessments are distributed through the survey campaign system.
- Create a new survey campaign and select the psychometric type:
- DISC — for personality profiling.
- DASS — for well-being monitoring.
- Set the recipients (individual, team, or company-wide).
- Configure the campaign schedule and reminders.
- Launch the campaign.
Reviewing results (admin)
- Go to the survey campaign results.
- View individual and aggregate results.
- For DISC: See team composition across personality types — identify potential communication gaps or conflicts.
- For DASS: Monitor well-being trends. High scores in any dimension may warrant follow-up support.
Tips
- DISC is most useful when the whole team takes it — individual profiles are interesting, but team dynamics insights require everyone's data.
- Run DASS assessments periodically (e.g., quarterly) to track well-being trends, not just one-off snapshots.
- Make psychometric assessments anonymous when possible to encourage honest responses, especially for DASS.
- Use DISC results when forming project teams — diverse profiles often perform better than homogeneous ones.
- DASS results are sensitive data. Limit access to HR or designated well-being contacts.
Common issues
- Issue: Assessment results are not showing — Fix: You must submit all answers. Partial responses are not scored.
- Issue: Team DISC chart looks incomplete — Fix: Not all members have completed the assessment. Check campaign completion rates and send reminders.
