How to manage Scheduler jobs
Last updated: 7 May 2026
What this does
Use Scheduler in impact-web to manage automated jobs, review execution logs, and monitor job quota where the workspace and user have access.
Current access and functionality
- Verified against the current
impact-web,impact-client, andimpact-marketplacecode on 2026-05-07. - Scheduler is an admin-oriented web module. It is shown only when the current user has owner or admin access and the workspace has the Scheduler feature or entitlement enabled.
- Scheduler includes job listing, activity editing, action parameters, log review, and quota display.
- Scheduler controls automated activity. Incorrect configuration can trigger repeated or unexpected actions, so changes should be made by workspace admins who understand the process being automated.
- Scheduler is distinct from project auto-scheduling. Scheduler runs configured jobs; project auto-scheduling calculates task and project timelines.
What admins can do
- Open Scheduler from the web menu.
- Review existing jobs, status, and configured actions.
- Open a job or activity to inspect parameters and timing.
- Update action parameters only when the expected output is clear.
- Review logs after changes to confirm the job runs successfully.
- Monitor quota usage and adjust schedules if jobs are approaching limits.
Change checklist
- Confirm the business process owner approves the automation.
- Check the action parameters before saving.
- Avoid overlapping schedules that perform the same work.
- Review logs after the next run.
- Pause or adjust the job if errors repeat.
Common issues
- Issue: Scheduler is missing from the menu. Fix: Confirm admin access and Scheduler entitlement or feature flag.
- Issue: A job does not run. Fix: Check job status, parameters, quota, and recent logs.
- Issue: A job runs but produces the wrong result. Fix: Review action parameters and recent configuration changes.
- Issue: Project dates did not change after editing Scheduler. Fix: Project auto-scheduling is a separate project planning feature.
