How to update workspace settings
Last updated: 7 May 2026
What this does
Explains the current workspace settings area in IMPACT Web. Workspace settings cover workspace details, membership, naming, work types, work classifications, work week settings, tags, and subscription/entitlement entry points where available.
Current access and functionality
- Verified against the current
impact-web,impact-client, andimpact-marketplacecode on 2026-05-07. - Workspace settings are available from the workspace selector or
/workspacepages when the user is signed in. - Editing settings requires workspace owner/admin access and an active workspace.
- Suspended or pending-delete workspaces restrict settings and management actions.
- Legacy invoice branding, payment page branding, tax defaults, and customer-facing invoice details are not exposed as current target-app workspace settings.
What admins can manage today
- Workspace details and workspace list selection.
- Member/membership settings for users in the workspace.
- Workspace naming/synonyms for projects, teams, tasks, and members where enabled.
- Work types and work classifications.
- Work week and related member settings.
- Workspace subscription and entitlement views.
- Tags and feature permissions where available.
Steps
- Open the workspace selector in the top bar.
- Choose Workspace Settings or open the workspace settings page.
- Select the workspace to manage.
- Open the relevant settings panel.
- Make changes and save.
Common issues
- Issue: Workspace settings are hidden. Fix: The user may not be a workspace owner/admin, the workspace may be suspended, or the feature flag may be disabled.
- Issue: Some fields are read-only. Fix: Check workspace status and whether the user has permission for that specific settings area.
- Issue: The user is looking for invoice branding or SST defaults. Fix: Those legacy invoice settings are not present in the current target apps.
