Last updated: 7 May 2026
What this does
Use impact-client to view assigned tasks, update task progress, work through the Action / Verify / Accept workflow, and handle task comments or supporting evidence.
Current access and functionality
- Verified against the current
impact-client,impact-web, andimpact-marketplacecode on 2026-05-07. - Mobile task access is scoped by selected workspace, project, team, assignment, and role.
- Staff can act on tasks assigned to them or otherwise permitted to them. Project managers, team leads, and admins may have broader task visibility or management actions.
- Task actions can include viewing details, changing permitted status, working through checklist items, adding comments, reviewing attachments, and navigating back to the project context.
- Some task creation, assignment, scheduling, and workflow configuration remains web-first, depending on role and feature.
How to work on a task
- Open the mobile app and confirm the correct workspace is selected.
- Open My Tasks, a project task list, or a task card from the landing/home view.
- Select the task you need to work on.
- Review the task stage, assignees, due dates, project context, comments, and any checklist requirements.
- Complete the work required for your current stage:
- Action - produce the requested work.
- Verify - review the submitted work and request rework or approve where permitted.
- Accept - give final acceptance where permitted.
- Add comments, evidence, or checklist results as required.
- Save or submit the permitted status change.
- Refresh the list if the task does not move immediately after sync.
Offline and sync notes
- Checklist item results and selected task-related changes can be stored locally and pushed later.
- File, image, and structural changes may need a stable connection before they are fully synced.
- If you worked offline, reconnect before assuming other users can see your updates.
Common issues
- Issue: The task is visible but cannot be updated. Fix: Check whether you are assigned to the active workflow stage and whether your role permits the action.
- Issue: A checklist or attachment did not upload. Fix: Reconnect to a stable network and reopen the task so sync can retry.
- Issue: The task disappeared from My Tasks. Fix: It may have moved to another status, workspace, project filter, or assignee.
