How to browse and purchase on the IMPACT Marketplace

What this does

Explains the current buyer experience in impact-marketplace: public browsing, signed-in cart and checkout, order history, My Space / My Templates, reviews, reports, and billing preferences.

Current access and functionality

  • Verified against the current impact-marketplace code on 2026-05-07.
  • Product listing, category browsing, merchant pages, promotion pages, and product detail pages are public.
  • Adding to cart can start as a guest action, but cart persistence, checkout, My Space / My Templates, reviews, report history, billing preferences, and order history require login.
  • Checkout currently creates marketplace orders and grants template access. The checkout screen has an order-details step; a separate payment-details step is not active in the current UI.
  • Purchased templates are accessed from My Space / My Templates and can be used/imported from there or from matching IMPACT Web import flows.

Steps

Browsing products

  1. Open the IMPACT Marketplace.
  2. Use featured, top seller, popular, category, and recommendation sections.
  3. Search by keyword or filter by type, category, industry, language, and price where available.
  4. Open a product detail page to review description, versions, merchant, ratings, similar products, and preview content.

Purchasing

  1. Sign in before checkout.
  2. Click Add to Cart on the product detail page.
  3. Open Cart and select the items to purchase.
  4. Apply a promo code or voucher if available.
  5. Proceed to Checkout and confirm the order.
  6. After checkout, open My Space / My Templates to use the purchased item.

Using purchased templates

  1. Open My Space / My Templates from the user menu.
  2. Select an available template.
  3. Choose the version and language where prompted.
  4. Use or download/import the template. For workspace objects, complete the matching import flow in IMPACT Web.

Common issues

  • Issue: The user can browse but cannot checkout. Fix: Sign in before cart checkout.
  • Issue: The checkout does not ask for full payment details. Fix: The current checkout completes the marketplace order flow; a separate payment-details step is not active.
  • Issue: A purchased template is missing from IMPACT Web import. Fix: Confirm the same account owns the template in My Space / My Templates and that the template type matches the destination feature.
