How to change the interface language

Last updated: 7 May 2026

What this does

Change the language of the IMPACT Web interface. IMPACT supports multiple languages through its internationalisation (i18n) system.

Current access and functionality

  • Verified against the current impact-web, impact-client, and impact-marketplace code on 2026-05-07.
  • In impact-web, users must be signed in and working in an active workspace. Navigation and write actions are role-, permission-, and entitlement-aware; unavailable modules are hidden or disabled instead of being universally visible.

Steps

  1. Look at the top bar of the IMPACT Web interface.
  2. Click the language selector (usually shown as a language code or flag icon).
  3. Select your preferred language from the dropdown.
  4. The interface updates immediately — no page reload or logout required.

Tips

  • Your language preference is saved to your profile and persists across sessions.
  • Changing the interface language does not change the language of your data (project names, task descriptions, etc.) — those remain in whatever language they were entered in.
  • If you manage a multilingual team, each member can set their own language independently.

Common issues

  • Issue: Some text is still in English after switching — Fix: Not all content may be translated yet. System labels and menus are translated, but user-generated content stays in its original language.
  • Issue: Language setting resets after logging out — Fix: Ensure you are logged in when changing the language so it saves to your profile.
