How to change the interface language
Last updated: 7 May 2026
What this does
Change the language of the IMPACT Web interface. IMPACT supports multiple languages through its internationalisation (i18n) system.
Current access and functionality
- Verified against the current
impact-web,impact-client, andimpact-marketplacecode on 2026-05-07. - In
impact-web, users must be signed in and working in an active workspace. Navigation and write actions are role-, permission-, and entitlement-aware; unavailable modules are hidden or disabled instead of being universally visible.
Steps
- Look at the top bar of the IMPACT Web interface.
- Click the language selector (usually shown as a language code or flag icon).
- Select your preferred language from the dropdown.
- The interface updates immediately — no page reload or logout required.
Tips
- Your language preference is saved to your profile and persists across sessions.
- Changing the interface language does not change the language of your data (project names, task descriptions, etc.) — those remain in whatever language they were entered in.
- If you manage a multilingual team, each member can set their own language independently.
Common issues
- Issue: Some text is still in English after switching — Fix: Not all content may be translated yet. System labels and menus are translated, but user-generated content stays in its original language.
- Issue: Language setting resets after logging out — Fix: Ensure you are logged in when changing the language so it saves to your profile.
