How to import marketplace templates

Last updated: 7 May 2026

What this does

Explains how purchased marketplace templates are imported into current IMPACT Web workspaces.

Current access and functionality

  • Verified against the current impact-web, impact-client, and impact-marketplace code on 2026-05-07.
  • Purchase and ownership live in impact-marketplace under My Space / My Templates.
  • Import actions live in impact-web inside the destination feature, not as one universal import page.
  • Current web import targets include checklists, projects/playbooks, project risks, competencies, and questionnaires where the user has permission.
  • Import requires an active workspace, matching template type, and admin/owner or equivalent management access for the destination.

Supported template destinations

Marketplace typeCurrent destination in impact-web
ChecklistCompany checklist templates or checklist import flow.
Project / PlaybookProject creation, playbook/template import, or project template flows.
RiskProject risk import when working inside a project risk area.
CompetencyCompetency framework import.
QuestionnaireQuestionnaire/survey template import.

Steps

  1. In impact-marketplace, sign in and purchase or acquire the template.
  2. Confirm the item appears in My Space / My Templates.
  3. In impact-web, open the destination feature.
  4. Choose the import-from-marketplace or inventory action.
  5. Select the purchased item, version, and language.
  6. Select the target workspace or project if prompted.
  7. Confirm import and review the copied template in the destination feature.

Common issues

  • Issue: Import action is hidden. Fix: Check that the user is an admin/owner or otherwise permitted to create that destination object.
  • Issue: The template is visible in marketplace but missing in web import. Fix: Confirm the same account is signed in, the item is purchased, and the type matches the current destination feature.
  • Issue: Import fails for a project risk or competency. Fix: Confirm the selected workspace/project is active and the user has management access there.
